
Lisa Cook
Supervisor, Paralegal - Montréal
Lisa is the supervisor of the firm’s paralegals and ensures their collaboration and knowledge-sharing in the various departments of Langlois Lawyers’ offices.
She herself is a civil litigation paralegal in the firm’s Montreal office. She has been working in that capacity for more than 25 years and has extensive experience in a number of areas including insurance, construction, professional liability and health law. She has worked on various large-scale files involving both civil and common law, including class actions, at all levels of the courts.
She assists lawyers in the organization and preparation of files at all stages, including trial. She conducts case law and doctrine researches.
Lisa coordinates electronic document management in large litigation files for document productions and review. She contributed to document management in the asset-backed commercial paper (ABCP) file. She also led a pan-Canadian team responsible for reviewing electronic documents in a multi-jurisdictional class action.
She specializes in managing the disclosure and preservation of electronic documents on various media in connection with the eDiscovery process. She also assists international IT firms in consumer-law related litigation.
She continues to upgrade her knowledge by frequently attending conferences, particularly those related to technology.
