Sylvain Aird is a partner in the business law group at Langlois Lawyers.
Sylvain is a seasoned lawyer who has worked in the corporate world for nearly 25 years. Previously, he worked for a TSX-listed company operating in the renewable energy sector in both North America and Europe. At that company, his titles included Vice-President, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, as well as Vice-President, European Business Development.
Over the course of his career, Sylvain has acted in multiple transactions and financings, with a total value of more than $2 billion, both in Canada and internationally. He has acquired unparalleled experience in mergers and acquisitions, financing, securities and corporate governance.
His years in the corporate world have afforded him significant experience and understanding of the inner workings of businesses through his dealings with entrepreneurs, founders, executives of large and medium-sized corporations, operators, financial advisors and board members.
