Catherine Biron and Catherine Cayer to take part in a webinar on the Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations

On October 16, Langlois partner and lawyer Catherine Biron and lawyer Catherine Cayer, who are part of the labour and employment law group, will take part in a webinar as trainers following an invitation from the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines intégrées (CRHA) / the Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals (CHRP). The draft Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations come into effect on January 1, 2021 and as a federally regulated employer, you will need to prepare, as they represent a significant change to federal labour law rules.

Sarto Veilleux to present a web conference on “Drugs and alcohol in the workplace”

On June 4th, lawyer, partner and mediator Sarto Veilleux, who specializes in labour and employment law, has been invited to present a web conference on the use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace. The invitation comes from the Human Resources Sectorial Committee on the Maritime Industry (CSMOIM) and the Société de développement économique du Saint-Laurent (Sodes), the Quebec body overseeing the St-Lawrence seaway’s economic development.
