Three partners from Langlois among Benchmark’s 2022 Top 100 Women in Litigation

It is with great pride that Langlois announces that partners Danielle Ferron, Elisabeth Neelin and Sophie Perreault have been selected by Benchmark Litigation in its inaugural Top 100 Women in Litigation in Canada for 2022.

Danielle Ferron has been working in civil and commercial litigation for over 25 years. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation files, banking litigation, class actions, fraud, cybercrime, piracy and other intellectual property matters, and injunctions, seizures and other urgent and extraordinary remedies, such as Anton Piller orders (civil search), Mareva injunctions (asset freezing) and Norwich orders. She is also regularly called upon to act as an independent supervising lawyer for Anton Piller Order cases as well as amicus curiae, among other reasons for the purpose of protecting documents covered under professional privilege and seized in the context of civil, penal or criminal cases. She has also expertise in insolvency and restructuring, insurance law and technology law.

Elisabeth Neelin practises civil and commercial litigation. She has experience in a wide range of matters involving commercial law, civil and professional liability as well as in regulatory litigation and regulatory investigations. She frequently represents foreign clients, including in matters of private international law and challenges to the jurisdiction of Québec courts. In the course of her practice, Elisabeth has had extensive experience with a range of complex business disputes and with alternative dispute resolution procedures, including the coordination of multidisciplinary teams of experts and lawyers in various jurisdictions. Sophie Perreault is an accomplished litigator and is recognized for her ability to lead complex files in a wide range of commercial disputes, penal procedures and regulatory proceedings. She has an impressive record in extraordinary proceedings such as injunctions, mandamus proceedings and Anton Piller orders. She has also acted in defence in class action proceedings and in constitutional matters that have been pleaded before the Supreme Court of Canada. In 2022, Sophie was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, considered the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in North America, marking to a professional career characterized by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. Sophie is Chair of the Langlois Lawyers Board of Directors.
