Young Bar associations of Montreal and Quebec City: two Langlois Lawyers elected directors

The members of the Young Bar associations of Montreal and Quebec City are fortunate to now have two talented, rigorous and highly professional lawyers on the respective boards of directors of their associations.

Elected for a second straight term, Cynthia Brunet, a lawyer in the litigation group at Langlois Lawyers, will be in charge of the Young Bar of Montreal’s Public Affairs Committee. As such she will be responsible for publishing communiqués and press releases, the results of brainstorming sessions of various committees, and position statements of the association pursuant to its mission, which is to defend the interests of its members and promote access to justice.

Catherine Bourget, a member of the litigation group in Langlois Lawyers’ Quebec City office, will be joining the board of directors of the Young Bar of Quebec City for the first time. As such she will be supporting the association’s mission and ensuring that its members’ interests are respected.

For several years now, the Young Bar associations of Montreal and Quebec City have played an important role in their communities. In addition to their mission of defending and promoting their members’ interests, they provide legal information and consultations free of charge to various segments of the population, and organize networking activities for their members. This year they will also be promoting several public-interest initiatives, including the submission of a draft bill to enable law students to provide legal advice to members of the public.

The members of the Young Bar associations of Montreal and Quebec City are sure to benefit from the commitment and determination of Cynthia and Catherine. We are delighted that the members have placed their trust in these two Langlois Lawyers, who we are certain will make an invaluable contribution to furthering the mission of their respective boards.
