Langlois Prepares a Document for Dealing with Cannabis in the Workplace for the Order of CHRP
The Quebec government has just tabled a bill entitled An Act to constitute the Société québécoise du cannabis, to enact the Cannabis Regulation Act and to amend various highway safety-related provisions. Professionals from Langlois lawyers summarized this draft legislation the day after it was tabled. To consult the guide, click here (in French only).
While the bill does not directly target employers, it can be expected to have a major impact on the workplace in general. In light of the employers’ obligation to ensure the health and safety of their employees, they will obviously have to adjust their practices in that regard. To help them do so, lawyers Charles Wagner and Raphaël Buruiana have drafted a practical guide to dealing with cannabis in the workplace, for the Quebec Order of certified human resources professionals (CHRP).
