Langlois Welcomes Sophie Perreault, a New Litigation Partner, to Its Montréal Office

Montréal, July 20, 2018 – Langlois Lawyers is pleased to welcome Sophie Perreault to its Montréal office as a partner in the litigation group.

Solid experience

Sophie has extensive experience as a litigator in civil and commercial matters, and in penal and regulatory proceedings. She represents clients before Quebec and federal courts and various administrative tribunals. She has specific expertise in extraordinary remedies such as injunctions, mandamus proceedings and Anton Piller orders. She has also acted in defence in class action proceedings and in constitutional matters before the Supreme Court of Canada.

Sophie also advises her clients on business ethics and anti-corruption law, and assists them with risk assessment, development of policies and compliance programs, internal and external investigations, prosecutions by regulatory authorities and defending against lawsuits. In addition she helps clients manage legal, reputational and operational risks. She has particular expertise regarding federal and provincial integrity requirements for public contracts. 

Called to the Quebec Bar in 1994, she was a partner at an international firm before joining Langlois.
