Langlois Announces the Appointment of François LeBel as a Québec Court Judge

Montréal, April 3^rd, 2018 – The management of Langlois lawyers is pleased to announce that François LeBel has been appointed a judge of the Court of Québec.

François has a degree in Civil Law from Laval University. Admitted to the Bar in 1995, he has since practiced his profession solely at Langlois lawyers, where he was a partner in the civil litigation group, focusing mainly on administrative and public law litigation.

Known for his in-depth legal reasoning, François is an acknowledged and versatile pleader. He has been regularly involved in complex files dealing with constitutional law, administrative law, Charter issues and privacy protection. He has also developed a significant judicial-review practice. Together with several of his colleagues, he is co-author of two major treatises on labour law and disciplinary law.

François’ expertise is recognized by the Lexpert legal directory, which lists him as “frequently recommended” in the Litigation – Public Law category, as well as by the Best Lawyers® in Canada directory in the Administrative Law category, and by Benchmark Litigation as a Litigation Star.
