Langlois Lawyers is pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached with law firm Fraticelli Provost to unify their respective practices. The majority of the members of Fraticelli Provost will consequently be moving to the Montreal office of Langlois Lawyers effective September 1, 2017 and will continue their practice under the name Langlois Lawyers.
Kateri Vincent, a business law practitioner at Langlois Lawyers, recently commented on two Supreme Court of Canada decisions on how the National Energy Board (NEB) consults with indigenous communities when deciding on the advisability of a proposed petroleum project with potentially negative environmental impacts.
Both the Quebec Bar and First Nations communities in Quebec are now able to benefit from the expertise of Kateri Vincent, who will henceforth be sitting on the Bar’s special advisory committee on aboriginal law and cultural skills.
